The company is situated at Alang, the port town of Bhavnagar, home to the biggest ship breaking yard in the world. Alang is connected via road link to Bhavnagar at a distance of about 50 km. The company was formed to cater to the various needs of the market for Centrifuges. Most of the Alfa Laval Centrifuges we sell come from our own stock of used / reconditioned centrifuges. Since its inception, the company has been running ahead on the fast track of success bagging fabulous business and adding an enviable fame and reliability to its credit.

Our inventory of re-conditioners and repairers are from worldwide known machine manufacturer named Alfa Laval and Westfalia. In India, we provide our own stock of used re-conditioner and reconditioned centrifuges. Re-conditioner centrifugal separator offered by us is known for its durability, better quality and ensures the lowest price and the greatest degree of customer satisfaction.

Centrifugal force is operated by marine separator or disc type centrifugal machine. An electro-motor supplies the power. The electro-motor rotates a worm wheel. The worm wheel shifts the force through a worm on the horizontal bowl spindle and this rotates the separator bowl.
 
The bowl consists of a number of bowl discs of disc type centrifugal machines, where light components such as oil and heavier components such as water and sludge are separated by using centrifugal force of centrifuges. The lighter component is pushed inwards while heavier components are pushed outwards.
 
A separator can operate as a purifier or as a clarifier. In most cases, separators will operate as purifiers. Oil purifiers separate three phases: sludge and two insoluble liquids. A purifier is mainly used when sludge has to be separated from oil, together with smaller quantities of water from sludge.
 
A clarifier or purifier separates two phases: solid particles - sludge from liquid oil. In that case, the water outlet is simply blocked by using a level ring to seal it off. In case there is some water, it will be removed together with the sludge.  

Besides being a leading stockist in centrifuges, the Bansal Marine group is also engaged in the activity of ship breaking having its setups in the ports like Alang and Sachana near Jamnagar. We are into ship breaking since the early 60s, having started in Bombay followed by Alang and Sachana.

Bansal Marine was set up as a trading company for Separators. We started our venture to re-condition units which was a very monopolistic trade in India done only by a select few. We could edge out competition as we have access for direct procurement from the ship breaking yards. Reconditioned bowl assemblies for popular model centrifuges are available from stock. We also supply used bowl parts (in good working condition) which can provide substantial savings compared to new bowl parts from OEMs.
